My Rating: 7/10

Description: Students Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) were part of two totally different crowds in high school, with Schmidt being good at school but nerdy and Jenko being popular with failing grades. The two meet again in police academy several years after graduating, and soon become friends. After screwing up an arrest, they are given the assignment to go undercover as high school students to uncover the latest drug craze. But nothing goes according to plan.

My Thoughts: It's a great movie for when you just want to turn your brain off. It isn't really something you can analyze or think too hard about (I still wasn't a hundred per cent sure what it was about after watching it). There were definitely some parts that were incredibly out of pocket, such as most of the scenes at the house party, but that's just part of the charm. As much as I hate to admit it, there were several parts of the film that made me laugh out loud, and it was a fun ride. It's also very difficult not to love the main characters even when they make questionable (read: borderline illegal) decisions, such as when 25-year-old Schmidt begins a romantic relationship with an 18-year-old high-schooler. This isn't a movie I would go out of my way to recommend, but I also don't hate it by any means. It's funny and aggressively quotable. Long story short, you won't regret watching it. I mean, maybe you will, but probably not.

Best Line: "I am one more Black gay kid getting punched in the face away from a nervous breakdown."
